Hitachi Ltd. and Hitachi Plant Services have jointly developed “Frontline Coordinator Naivy,” a next-generation AI agent designed to support unskilled workers in on-site operations. Naivy combines real-time on-site data with metaverse info. This gives quick, smart guidance for every situation. This innovation helps inexperienced workers feel less stressed. It also boosts overall operational efficiency.
Naivy works in tandem with an extended on-site metaverse platform, visually presenting procedures, equipment locations, and response workflows. This helps unskilled personnel confidently navigate complex tasks such as troubleshooting facility systems without constant reliance on expert oversight. In a field trial at a Renesas Electronics factory, Naivy improved response times and increased work execution efficiency by approximately 30%.

The solution addresses a growing industry challenge: the shortage of skilled workers in facility management and the limitations of traditional on-the-job training (OJT). By codifying and systematizing expert knowledge, Naivy not only lightens the training burden on experienced staff but also enables remote work support, which has been difficult in field-based environments.
Hitachi plans to expand Naivy’s capabilities and commercialize key features through Hitachi Solutions by 2025, supporting broader skill transfer in facility management and manufacturing worldwide.
