CritiComms Inc., a regional leader in instant critical communications, has launched the advanced Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) service in the Caribbean and Latin America region. This service aims to replace the demand that was left unattended when the iDEN platforms were discontinued in the region. With a more secure and advanced network architecture, CritiComms Inc. PTT increases the intelligence and productivity of work teams and offers total flexibility, since they work in multiple networks and provide freedom in the choice of operators and devices. CritiComms Inc.’s PoC service is not exclusive to any operator or cellular technology.

The CEO of CritiComms Inc., Juan Luis Gutiérrez, will preside over the new company that has already begun to roll out the service based on ESChat technology. Gutiérrez, former VP of Nortel and Motorola, assumed responsibility for the Caribbean and Latin America to deploy advanced Push To Talk over Cellular (PoC) applications. “Broadband solutions for critical PTT communications are an excellent opportunity for companies, government entities, public security and other sectors, since investments do not require new networks, but rather are integrated into existing ones,” says Gutiérrez.

ESChat is the market leader in advanced PoC solutions in North America, offering agnostic solutions to cellular operators with FirstNet public network certification for “first responders.” FirstNet; which was born after the sad September 11, 2001 to integrate all the needs of public security agencies, has the ability to give priority to the most demanding communications in this sector and to unify all networks simultaneously.

ESChat offers services to customers of all wireless carriers in North America and is the primary PTT solution from T-Mobile and Telus. ESChat’s advanced PoC service is used by most segments of the United States federal government. “We are pleased to have CritiComms Inc. as a partner for the region, where we expect great adoption and success,” said ESChat CEO Josh Lober .

CritiComms Inc. provides maximum performance solutions without borders or limitations to the sectors that most demand these technologies: public and private security, government, healthcare, hospitality, logistics, transportation, construction and mining.

There is an unmet demand in Latin America for the shutdown and discontinuity of the PTT iDEN networks. This market is targeted by CritiComms Inc.’s instant critical communications solutions.

The global market for PTT is US 25B and it is estimated that, by 2024, it will be US 38B . Latin America would have close to 10% of that market with a cumulative annual growth of more than 13.3%. Criticomms Inc.’s advanced PoC solutions work with most Android and iOS smartphones, iPads, Tablets, and Windows PCs. Also with terminals for specific use (rugged), according to customer needs. The implementations are rolled out together between the technology provider, the selected cellular operator and the companies to create a tailored solution.
