This setup does not use refrigerants. It is made for use at a bench in lab and research rooms.<\/p>\n

NMR helps people look at chemical structure in many fields. It is used in pharma, biotech, chemistry, food science, and materials work. Most older NMR units are big. They also rely on coolants like liquid helium. They need room for special installation.<\/p>\n

The new unit tackles those issues. It uses bulk magnets made with high temperature superconductors. Aisin shared its know-how in cryogenic cooling and superconducting material work. JEOL shared its NMR know how and analysis skills. The team also worked with the RIKEN Center for Environmental Resource Science.<\/p>\n

The portable design could support research at universities and educational institutions, as well as process monitoring and quality control at production sites.<\/p>\n
