Mitsubishi Electric and Sony Semiconductor Solutions have signed an agreement, to set up Advanced Vision Solutions Co., Ltd. kind of joint venture which will focus on developing AI vision sensor solutions for manufacturing. The plan is that the new company starts operating in October 2026, once it gets the necessary regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n

This partnership kind of brings together Sony\u2019s image sensor and edge AI technology, with Mitsubishi Electric\u2019s know how in factory automation control systems. And together they are aiming to build vision sensors that can analyze visual data right on the image sensor itself, rather than sending everything off to outside systems for processing.<\/p>\n
