\u30cf\u30a4\u30ec\u30be<\/a>, the company behind GPU cloud platform GPUSOROBAN, has signed a memorandum of understanding with energy storage developer PowerX<\/a> to explore collaboration on the energy infrastructure needed to support AI computing and GPU data centers.<\/p>\n

The discussions come as AI infrastructure runs into a problem that has little to do with chips and everything to do with electricity. The rapid growth of generative AI has pushed demand for GPU data centers higher, but powering those facilities is becoming increasingly difficult as electricity costs rise and grid capacity tightens.<\/p>\n

Against that backdrop, the two companies will examine how battery energy storage systems can be integrated directly into GPU data centers. The goal is to improve power resilience, provide backup capabilities during emergencies, and potentially optimize electricity costs through participation in power markets.<\/p>\n
