Japan is making another bold move to become one of the leading countries in the field of artificial intelligence by setting up a new government committee, which will work on a legal and regulatory framework aimed at reforming the existing structure regarding AI technologies in the country. The project has been announced within the context of government guidelines for 2026 and is supposed to boost so-called “AI transformation,” which means integration of artificial intelligence in administration and business of the country together with corresponding changes in laws to ensure the process. This new committee will replace the current Digital Administrative and Fiscal Reform Council and will develop relevant policy aimed at boosting AI innovation in view of Japan’s demographic and economic challenges.<\/p>\n
