Advantest Corporation and OpenLight have entered a partnership to build scalable test solutions for silicon photonics, aimed specifically at high volume manufacturing. The focus is on one of the less visible but critical layers of the AI hardware stack, how optical components are tested before they ever reach data centers.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not an accident with the timing. As the AI and high performance computing workloads start surging, data centers are moving toward silicon photonics and co packaged optics, to deal with higher bandwidth lower latency, and also better power efficiency. But scaling these technologies is not just a design problem. It is a manufacturing and testing problem.<\/p>\n
