NTT Integration Corporation<\/a> \u305d\u3057\u3066 \u65e5\u672cIBM<\/a>, Ltd. have jointly begun technical verification for the development of a next-generation on-premise AI platform service utilizing “IBM Spyre Accelerator for Power,” the first enterprise-grade AI accelerator in Japan. Through the provision of this service, NTT Integration aims to realize an environment in which companies can utilize AI more safely and efficiently in on-premise environments.<\/p>\n

Background: Challenges in the full-scale implementation of AI<\/strong><\/p>\n

In recent years, while the use of generative AI and large-scale AI models has expanded rapidly, new challenges are emerging as we move beyond the PoC and limited application stages and move into the phase of full-scale deployment in business operations.<\/p>\n

One of these challenges is the increasing power consumption in AI inference infrastructure and the power constraints of data centers. While conventional GPU-based AI infrastructure offers high performance, its high power consumption and installation requirements pose a challenge from the perspective of sustainable AI utilization.<\/p>\n
