Payke Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the launch of a beta version of “Shopping Concierge AI” within its shopping support app for foreign visitors to Japan, “Payke.” This AI provides comprehensive support for shopping in Japan, from consultations, product comparisons, store selection, guidance on tax-free shopping methods, post-purchase procedures, and repeat purchases after returning home.<\/p>\n

Payke possesses data on approximately 750,000 products in seven languages, covering about 90%*1 of the products that visitors to Japan pick up. Since its launch in 2015, it has been used by more than 5.5 million people*2, mainly in Asia, and is utilized by more than 1,200 companies and organizations. This new AI agent integrates these unique data assets and customer touchpoints with AI, and will be deployed as a new purchasing decision platform that supports foreign visitors to Japan in deciding “what, where, and how to buy.”<\/p>\n

In 2025, the number of foreign visitors to Japan reached a record high of 42,683,600*3, and the amount of spending by foreign tourists in Japan reached a record high of 9,455.9 billion yen*4.
