Japan’s telecommunications industry seems to be stepping into a completely new realm of digital transformation as NTT DOCOMO unveils the first commercial 5G core network (5GC) in Japan, that is cloud-based on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This newly built in the cloud infrastructure marks an important milestone for the domestic telecom industry of Japan that integrates cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge network automation to drive the future of mobile services.<\/p>
