By logging in to &ldquo;COIN+&rdquo; or registering a new account from the &ldquo;MUFG Bank App&rdquo; homepage, users will be able to see their COIN+ balance on the app screen and use its payment and top-up functions.<\/p><p>The use of cashless payments is expanding year by year, and according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the cashless payment ratio reached 42.8% in 2024, achieving the government&rsquo;s goal of increasing this to approximately 40% by 2025 ahead of schedule. QR code payments, in particular, accounted for 9.6% of payments, becoming the second most common payment method in daily life after credit cards. In response to this trend, RMB has been expanding the features of &ldquo;COIN+&rdquo; and increasing the number of stores that accept it, in order to promote a cashless society. RMB is also strengthening its collaboration with its parent company, MUFG Bank, to expand its customer base through mutual customer referrals and functional collaboration.<\/p><p>This latest collaboration is the second step following the September 2024 collaboration with the &ldquo;Account Opening App&rdquo;. This collaboration will allow users to open and use their &ldquo;COIN+&rdquo; account within the &ldquo;MUFG Bank App&rdquo;. This will enable users to check their account balance and top up their &ldquo;COIN+&rdquo; card in a single app, providing a smoother user experience. In an online survey (targeting 358 people), 32% responded that they &ldquo;check their account balance using a banking app or similar before topping up,&rdquo; and an additional 26% responded that &ldquo;if I could check my account balance and top up my payment app within the same app, I would check my account balance before topping up.&rdquo; This initiative addresses these user needs.
