The One-Man IT Administrator Association, a general incorporated association, has partnered with Encourage, a counseling room run by licensed psychologists and clinical psychologists, to open a mental health hotline for one-man IT administrators or small IT administrators who are IT engineers in charge of the company’s in-house information systems at medium-sized and small companies.<\/p>

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s Occupational Safety and Health Survey, the information and communications industry ranks first among all industries in the percentage of workplaces where employees have taken leave or resigned due to mental health problems, with 32.4% of workplaces experiencing mental health problems, and 1.3% of employees taking leave. In particular, IT staff play an important role in the digitalization of companies, but are exposed to significant stress regardless of the size of the company. Even if they are judged to be highly stressed in a stress check, they are in a situation where they “are unable to accurately grasp their own condition.” In addition, small and medium-sized enterprises often have insufficient response after stress checks, have difficulty finding appropriate consultation points, and are often hesitant to seek consultation, so there is a tendency for prevention and early measures to be delayed despite the need for them.<\/p>

That’s why we developed ASAP (As Up, Tomorrow, Up!), an original mental health support program by the Solo IT Systems Association. Using several types of psychological tests, we provide one-time psychotherapy using Collaborative Assessment (CA) methods. We support solo IT systems or small IT systems in small and medium-sized enterprises to “know yourself and change yourself.” The results of the counseling are developed into a specific action plan for the IT system. This is the first mental health support program in Japan specifically tailored to IT systems work in small and medium-sized enterprises.<\/p>

After conducting stress checks, companies must take appropriate measures for employees with high stress levels, but it is said that only about 20% of small and medium-sized enterprises have a follow-up system in place after stress checks due to a lack of safety and health personnel with specialized knowledge, the hollowing out of safety and health committees, a lack of specialized knowledge about mental health measures, budget and personnel constraints, etc. In today’s world of labor shortages, it is necessary to reduce employee stress and maximize performance.<\/p>

\u5897\u52a0\u3059\u308b\u30e1\u30f3\u30bf\u30eb\u30d8\u30eb\u30b9\u554f\u984c<\/h4>

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s Industrial Safety Survey, the number of employees taking leave due to mental health issues at small and medium-sized enterprises is about half that of large enterprises, but the number of employees taking leave at small and medium-sized enterprises is on an 11% increase from 2021 to 2023. Meanwhile, the number of employees at large enterprises is on a downward trend. In addition, while IT-related engineers (information and communications industry) account for about 6% of the total industry, the number of employees with mental health issues is high at about 12%.<\/p>

\u307e\u305f\u3001IT\u95a2\u9023\u6280\u8853\u8005\u306e\u8ee2\u8077\u6a5f\u4f1a\u306e\u5897\u52a0\u306b\u3088\u308b\u5f71\u97ff\u3082\u61f8\u5ff5\u3055\u308c\u3066\u304a\u308a\u3001\u8ee2\u8077\u5f8c\u306b\u8077\u5834\u74b0\u5883\u306e\u5909\u5316\u3084\u4eba\u9593\u95a2\u4fc2\u306e\u518d\u69cb\u7bc9\u306a\u3069\u3067\u30b9\u30c8\u30ec\u30b9\u3092\u611f\u3058\u308b\u4eba\u304c\u7d0487%\u3082\u3044\u308b\u3068\u5831\u544a\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002COVID-19\u306e\u5927\u6d41\u884c\u4ee5\u964d\u3001\u4e2d\u5c0f\u4f01\u696d\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u3082\u30c7\u30b8\u30bf\u30eb\u5316\u3078\u306e\u5bfe\u5fdc\u306e\u5fc5\u8981\u6027\u304c\u9ad8\u307e\u308a\u3001IT\u30b7\u30b9\u30c6\u30e0\u62c5\u5f53\u8005\u306a\u3069\u306eIT\u4eba\u6750\u306e\u63a1\u7528\u3084\u793e\u5185\u7570\u52d5\u3067\u5bfe\u5fdc\u3057\u3066\u304a\u308a\u3001\u3053\u3046\u3057\u305f\u4eba\u6750\u306e\u30b9\u30c8\u30ec\u30b9\u304c\u9ad8\u307e\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>
